sophie + ian

It's always wonderful to see my calligraphy in the context it was designed for. This fall I did the calligraphy for the wedding of Sophie and Ian. It was such an enjoyable job because the event was really whimsical and fun — it was even held at a private bowling alley! Many of the signs I was commissioned to make seemed odd at the time (such as the one below: "socks for bowling") but after seeing the photos it all makes sense!

I also made a fingerprint tree — a great alternative to a guest book where guests leave fingerprint "leaves" and sign their names next to them.
